No to Macron's pension reform
President Macron has pushed through a pension reform that raises the retirement age to 64. Back in December 2019, railway workers launched a 40-day strike in protest, followed by a wave of massive demonstrations. In March 2023, Paris saw what was likely the biggest protest since the turn of the millennium — but Macron still forced the reform through using a special clause in the constitution. I photographed the demonstrations for several newspapers. (These photos are from 2020–2023.)
