Don't eat frog legs
“Eat fewer frog legs,” urged 557 researchers in a letter to EU environment ministers. Over 100 million frogs are killed each year, most ending up on French plates. Researcher Ann-Marie Ohler wants to stop the consumption—and so does an action group in the small town of Saint-Jean-les-Deux-Jumeaux. They’ve even closed a road at night during the frogs’ mating season, when the amphibians often cross after dusk. Previously, dozens were run over daily. Report for the Swedish daily newspaper Göteborgs-Posten.
